How can you purchase SharePoint?

SharePoint can be purchased On Premise, in the Cloud or in a Hybrid environment. Many organisations are already licensed to use SharePoint as part of their Office 365 subscription.

If you’d like to know if you already have access to licensing for SharePoint or would like to get the most from it, contact us today!

Why should you use SharePoint?

With today’s current trends of hot-desking, BYOD and the mobile workplace, it can be a challenge for your staff to find the information they need and for your organisations to manage and secure your intellectual property.

SharePoint helps you organise and share important documents in a secure, structured manner from virtually any device. SharePoint can be used by organisations of any size, so you know it will scale with your operations protecting your investment.

Microsoft SharePoint will provide your team with a familiar working environment as it’s widely accepted and recognised as a market leader.

More than 200,000 organizations and 190 million people have SharePoint for intranets, team sites and content management.”

Microsoft has invested heavily in the research and development of SharePoint. What’s potentially equally important is that they also invest to ensure that SharePoint integrates or works well with other Microsoft products such as Microsoft Project Server Online, Microsoft Office 365 (MS O365), Dynamics 365 (Microsoft CRM) and OneDrive. This helps you get the most from your technology investment.

Case Study: Helping Samaritans Foundation better manage their training systems.

SITUATION: Diamond IT was approached by well-respected Not for Profit (NFP) organisation, Samaritans with hundreds of staff across 5 geographical regions. The organisation provides a wide range of services including disability, mental health, youth and other services. Due to its diverse range of services, it’s very important to have a structured approach to staff training, information distribution and document management.

SOLUTION: Diamond’s solution was to build a new Intranet System using Microsoft SharePoint that helped management schedule and notify staff about mandatory and optional training requirements based on selected criteria. The scheduling and notification processes were automated using SharePoint workflows which produced emails based on preformatted forms. The system allows management to disseminate targeted internal news based on region, functional area and job role.

“Diamond worked closely with us throughout this large project and helped us to scope the work, build the infrastructure and supported our launch. The customer service from the software development team was excellent and any issues were responded to promptly.”

Elizabeth Baker, Communication Manager, Samaritans Foundation

RESULTS: The customer was very pleased with the result. They now have tools that help them organise training, distribute information to the right people and have access to an accessible and secure document management platform.
